Photography of flowers is one of my passions, it’s so nice having the holga close up lens and micro lens for just this thing as it helps get very dreamy sort of romantic frames shots. The shot above is my bridesmaid bouquet from my friend Nicole’s wedding in Vancouver. As well there is some of her bouquet, as I was the lucky lady who caught the bouquet (hahaha I decided earlier that night that I wanted to catch it just to freak out Victor and I did just that). I kept my flowers in the fridge a few days before I had the chance to take some photos which was quiet a shame as they welted quite a bit although not surprising as the day of the wedding they were in blistering heat for hours. I don’t often have flowers to take photos of, nor nearly this wonderful and beautiful so I jumped the chance welted or not. It very hard to play around with focus with the holga lens but I do love using them to see what I get. Check out all the photos below!
a behind the scenes photo (still taken with a close up lens mind you), this is the wedding bouquet and as you can see my bridesmaid one is in the background. I borrowed a vase and sat outside taking photos the day I was leaving on the plane because I knew the already beat up bouquet wouldn’t look very good after the plane ride home. I also toke some Polaroid that failed because it doesn’t have a very short focus distance.
