Fishnet Stocking

I thought it’d be great to update you on my fishnet stocking plant (solenostemon scutellarioides). It’s an annual so I am guessing it will die as soon as the temperature drops but in August it almost tripled in size which was amazing to see. I was disappointment when I found out it was an annual buts it’s grown so much it feels worth it to rebuy again next year. I feel so happy as a plant mom as I kill most plants (rest in peace herb garden) but all my vines and other plants have just blossomed so much. It is great to see and really encouraging. This one is my favourite because it’s just so pretty and changes all the time. When the morning light hits it I always grab my camera for a few shots. These were all shot with my Holga macro and close up lens which I am using all the time on flowers and plants – I really cannot wait to upgrade to an actual close up or macro lens soon but in the meantime enjoy Lomography Wednesday – Plant Addition!

I need to start using that camera more. It had over a year of moments on it which is totally crazy. The photos weren’t as great as I was expecting but I think the end of the film was a little over exposed from being in the camera for so long. Its just a fun mechanic having the half frames, I really want to grap a Golden Half camera and have even more half frames cameras because they are really fun.
