Today marks the last day I’ll be sharing my photos from Prince Edward Island. This is from our last few hours in PEI to our long and tedious drive home through New Brunswick. It was such an amazing trip and it was great to finally see 2 provinces in Canada that I had never been too. At some point on our trip we reached a turn off for Nova Scotia (another province and if we had time we could have drove 20minutes just to say we had been there. Haha. All in all it was really fun and probably the best moment of the summer for me as I love a good road trip. The tree near our house is starting to turn orange so I am all excited again for the start of Fall – I will have plenty of non-summer adventures to show you too coming in October. If you missed the previous weeks about PEI, my little round up is here starting with Day 1, Day 2 part I & part II, the first half of Day 3, and the special photo shoot of Zara. So let’s get started, last week we end with the north tip of PEI and headed down the coast again towards the bridge and we found….
We got close enough to pet their noses. It’s been a long time since I’ve been close to a horse so I was pretty nervious. They are so tall its unnerving, lol. I was squealing during this whole time. I have been in love with horses since I was young so this was awesome. I love the picture I toke of me blowing them kisses.
We travelled down Prince Edward Island on the west coast and checked out the ocean view – it was the long way around from the north point to the bridge but it was great to see new areas before heading home.
The last lighthouse of Prince Edward Island. This area was right beside the bridge and super touristy and had this whole ‘old timey’ mock town that had super awful looking stores. We got out to stretch our legs and take photos of the epic bridge before leaving PEI.
We passed this sign on the way through New Brunswick on Friday that said “New Denmark” and Zara being from Denmark was really curious. On the way back we say the same sign and since we had been in the car for hours straight we stopped to check it out. We turned off the high way to head there but the sign for “New Demark” just kept on going and not getting us a time period. About 15minutes in we gave up after crossing this wonderful bridge because we finally found a sign that said it was another 10minutes drive away.
This was our last stop before getitng into Quebec, it got as soon as we hopped back into the car so this is the last of hte photos. We have another 4 hours in the car until we reached home. I think all 3 of us were dying when we finally climbed out of the car at 1am. It was a great trip and I hoped you like seeing it all. There will a fun post later today as well so check that out.
