Featured Artist: Liza Corbett
This week’s featured artist is illustrator and painter Liza Corbett who currently resides in New York. Her subject matter is usually women who seem out of the darker side of the 19th century during the more pagan and occult period of American history. It’s no surprise that she cites the Summer-Land as inspiration of her work. I’ve been memorized by her work and love the looming atmosphere. I have one of her dolls and everything about her work whether it’s her dolls or water colors or sketches has this brilliantly crafted atmosphere and you can image the story behind it. It’s fun to get lost in her work and get swept up in the world she’s created. Check out some of her work below as well as links on where to find her.
