Pick of the Week: Ghostwaltz

ghostwaltz (2)Pick of the Week: Ghostwaltz

Ghostwaltz is a Etsy store specializing in brooches and occasionally other cute and adorable items. The owner Danielle has a cute fun blog (here) that has wonderful photography and shows off her unique style. I picked up this lovely brooch from Danielle’s shop because I just fell in love with the simple design. I feel like her work is very inspired by her California location and even though at the moment they are not many items available – they all are wonderful.

Butter of the Week: Bath Time

butter (9)

Butter looks so adorable when she gives herself a bath, I am always trying to capture her with her tongue out for laughs. I have a collection of photos of her licking her nose because it just makes me squeal inside at how she cute she looks when she does. Last week while I was taking photos of the paper craft I made she decided to join me and give herself a bath sitting right in front me. It was the perfect lighting and I got some really cute shots so I thought I’d share. So here is far too many photos of her giving herself a bath. Hope you have a great weekend.

Butter of the Week

This week’s Butter is going to be a little weird. I toke these macro photos of her face back in March when I first got my Diana F+ camera. These were taken with the combination of my Nikon D7000 with Diana F+ lens and my Holga marco lens set. I think they are really neat, hope you like!

Butter of the Week

These shots were taken last week when Butter decided to come chill with me outside while I was taking some photos with my Anscoflex II and Kodak Dualflex camera. She really likes our new balcony and runs outside anytime we leave the back door open. Our balcony is attached to our neighbor’s with this plank style bridge and Butter tip toes across it so she can sniff their plants. Her favourite thing to do is stick her head through the railing and look at the back yard below. I’m hope to take her down there on a leash so she can start to explore more. :)

Butter of the Week

butterThe first Friday off from the blog! It feels really nice and its been amazing weather here in Montreal so I’m enjoying my Friday outside (and working but at least my job offers the best in air conditioning). Butter and me have been spending every day outside for a few hours on the balcony. Our vines started to grow last weekend and already it feels like we have a garden. I want to start growing herbs in the kitchen or on the  balcony so its great motivation. Apparently the vines mean a lots of spiders according to Victor which is not idle but at least Butter will have fun chasing them all summer long. It was a slow start but Spring is in full force here.  Hope you have a great weekend!!

Pick of the Week: Hanaletters

hannalettersPick of the Week: Hanaletters

Hanaletters or Hanako is a Etsy store that creates “wearable felt portraits of imaginary dolls” done by artist Alian Bunaciu. She makes brooches with whimsical and delightful characters in the portrait style. I adore her style and these brooches are very cute and wearable on all types of outfits and most importantly her style is super unique. I’ve order two separate brooch pairs from her and am so happy with them. My favourite are the bears because the colors go so well with my teal dress, I think I will leave them permanently on the collar. I am really excited to grab more, with so many different doll portraits to choose from it can be very hard, lol to choose. She also runs a blog that shows off the brooches and her making them, here.

Self-Portrait Sunday – 1 Year Ago!

citizenerased I was just thinking today about what was happening in my life in April last year. For one it was sunny, and I had just gotten my facial piercings put in (I cant believe I’ve had these guys for a whole year – I still love them so much), and I had apple colored hair and bangs! So much has changed but still I feel like the same person. I’m actually dying my hair this color again next week, I miss the green. I decided to add a silly one of me trying to do a double exposure. The shots all turned out blurry but I still like this one, I look so serious though!
Maybe I can do a year ago post in April every year, that’d be fun.
