May Treasures

may treasures

My May Treasures list was so fun to put together but a bit painful at the same time because I can’t buy anything at the moment. I’ve been trying to save up for a trip I am planning in the summer and have had nothing to spare. Windows shopping is mostly what these posts are about anyways since I do so much when I have insomnia.  It’s good to put my hours of browsing online to some use. My favourites are the kitty planters by Pony People (who’s shop I’ve reviewed before here) and unicorn pasties by Bad Bunny Shop even though I don’t have much use for them – I just think everyone should own a pair :). Hope you are enjoying the last day of the  long week if like me you hare in Canada, otherwise I hope the start of your week is going well!

March Treasures

march treasuresMarch Treasures are all about the oncoming Spring which might be wishful thinking and a few Easter related goodies are in there as well. I might have spent part of my weekend looking at vintage Easter things on Etsy. Found a few porcelain eggs that are delightful, I feel like if I had the money my house would be filled with Easter knick-knacks as far as the eye could see. Back to this month’s treasures though, It’s hard to say what would be my number 1 pick for this month as these are all pretty amazing.  The Worried Eyes painting is an original so it’s probably one of things you’d want to get asap if you thought it was cute (I picked up 3 other originals from her last week and can’t wait for them to arrive!). The print by LolitaAgogo that appears to be inspired by the Last Unicorn is also ace so I guess those are my two top picks. Hope you like and let me know in the comments if you find any weird vintage Easter eggs.

Pick of the Week: Worried Eyes

Pick of the Week: Worried Eyes

Worried Eyes has been my pick of the week before but I just love, LOVE her artwork. It’s so wonderfully unique (I use that word a lot to describe art don’t I?) and the colors she uses in her work just really make me smile. The last time I choose her it was for her delightful surprise packages that come with all sorts of goodies (check out here) but this time I wanted to focus on her paintings. I’ve bought a few small pieces over the last year and they just really brighten up my art wall. Even cooler is the two smaller ones appear to have been made on homemade paper.  Her work is very minimalistic but that really adds to their overall feel and I wish she made manga or comics because I just love the world she’s creating with her work. Cannot hype her enough, I was hoping I’d have my newest piece from her before this post but sadly some delays in shipping. However I’ll be sure to show you on my weekly Friday post when it arrives. Btw it’s a mixed media piece with cherry blossoms and so perfect for Spring. If you like her artwork I’d seriously recommend checking out either of her stores on Storenvy and Etsy!

Pick of the Week: Worried Eyes

Worried Eyes is an Etsy shop run by Elaine Williams that features her art is various forms. You can pick up handmade stickers, original paintings and sketches, postcards, and occasionally items like hair clips and pins. My favourite item from her store though has to be her “doodle package”. I love getting snail mail and this is great item to pick up if you do too (and very reasonable priced).  It’s basically a miss mash of random items she has, including a decorated envelop, sketches, photo copied works, stickers, a postcard and all these random little items that will just make you swoon. Her art is very unique as it’s easy to become addicted to her style. I’ve gotten two from her and below will be showing you detailed photos of all the pieces that I got of each doodle package. The great thing is everyone is different and that makes it even more exciting to receive in the mail, I think. I’ve also gotten some original paintings and a pin that I will show in a later Pick of the Week as well (I thought they deserved their own post and I want to have them framed).  Check out her shop to pick of a doodle package of your own and you can check out her tumblr too: here!
